Alternatives to Therapy
TV/Film Screenwriting Classes
Therapy doesn’t have to be limited to sitting across from a therapist and talking through what’s bothering you. Many people find alternatives to therapy, such as yoga, writing, exercising, and hiking, to be therapeutic and help them work through their vices. Although our TV/Film script writing classes are not therapy, they are designed to be therapeutic in nature.
We teach individuals how to embrace their creativity and story-telling abilities and grow in their confidence to share their art. Our classes might be a great fit for you if you’ve always wanted to learn to write scripts but don’t want to make it a career, want to have a writing career, or already know how to write and want to be around like minded people. We also provide a cohort experience option that creates a short film for YouTube with our cohort writers. We use methods taught in The Screenwriter’s Bible by David Trottier.
Our focus is more on the therapeutic side of storytelling and acting; however, we do still try to teach based on Hollywood/industry standards. Our classes are great for those who are in the entertainment industry or those who see screenwriting as a hobby.

What to Know
Our classes are community/cohort-based and designed as a four-month program. However, the four-month program is for those that want to be apart of a cohort. Individuals that are apart of the Monthly Sessions are not required to participate for the full four months.
Throughout the classes, we’ll explore:
storytelling techniques from The Screenwriter’s Bible by David Trottier
write short scripts
do warm-up practices
discuss our vices and virtues around writing
character and script breakdown
Cohort Experience
Our cohort experience is a four-month program that results in the production of a short film that will be uploaded to YouTube and Patreon. You will receive a writing credit for this film. After the completion of the film, we’ll watch it together, and give feedback on the story. Throughout the program, you’ll prepare for this short film by writing various stories and scripts, exploring your personal life (you don’t have to share what you’ve written), and participating in writer’s rooms.
Writers cannot miss more than two sessions in order to be credited in the short film. During pre-production and production (filming), writers can help with sourcing venues, monitoring the budget, wardrobe, director, assistant director roles, etc. Learners can take this program as many times as they would like.
Monthly Sessions
Each month, we’ll cover a topic from history of film and television, body language and emotions, to script and character breakdowns. There will be five (5) one-hour classes throughout the month. Classes occur three weeks out of the month. These classes are not held every month.
For example, one month of our cohort program may include five classes that teach on different topics from history, storytelling, to acting in character development. Whereas our monthly sessions option will have five classes dedicated to one topic, such five classes on character development. Our Monthly Sessions offer a deeper dive into topics; while our cohort program offers a well-rounded approach.
