Minor Arcana: Pentacles
NEPTUNE ROSES
The pentacles is one of my favorite arcanas. Anything representing money is usually going to be a favorite of mine.
The pentacles are mostly centered around money/finances, one’s relationship with money, and career. Similar to money, the pentacles can represent transactions, like transactional relationships. It can be about investing in your goals, yourself, your relationships, and so on. Sometimes people have more wholesome approaches towards reaching their goals, while others practice more manipulative tactics. Regardless, the pentacles can speak to one’s energy-level with reaching their goal.
The imagery on your cards is very important, and sometimes a reading will call you to solely focus on the card’s imagery rather than the card’s meaning. The original Rider-Waite deck is a beautiful place to start learning, but also collect some tarot decks that you feel called to use, as it’s specific imagery may speak to you.

New beginnings in career, money, or financial stability. Usually in a positive way. This can also be a sign of being offered money. Or a sign that now may be a good opportunity to invest in one’s self.

Balance. Whether balance already exists or you need to find balance, the presence of being able to juggle multiple things is the key idea.
From work-life balance, finding harmony in a peer group with conflicting personalities, to finding a way to save your money while also being able to spend money on the things you want.

Hard work and strategic planning are at play. This could also represent needing to work as a team. You may need to think strategically to resolve your problems.

Holding on to control through manipulation.

Misfortune, bad luck, and being left out in the cold. Now may not be the best time to invest in your project, home, business, relationship, etc.
You might be trying to invest in something or someone that is not worth your energy or they are worth your energy, but now isn’t the best time.

Fairness is at play. Both parties receive what it is perceived that they deserve. One may or may not agree with the rewards or consequences that are handed to them.
If you want the reward or consequence that you feel you are more deserving of, then you need to change your actions to reflect that.

Now is the time to start planting seeds and investing in your goals, because you may start seeing some subtle progress sooner rather than later.

Focusing on what you can see rather than what’s happening behind the scenes.
I like to envision a theatrical play and focusing on what’s happening on stage instead of what’s going on backstage.
This could be a sign to keep your eyes on what’s going right or a reminder that things (good or bad) are happening without your knowledge / you being in the loop.

This is a sign that one will experience their happily ever after. If one was clear about what they want, then that will likely be what they receive, within reason.

Everything will work out in your favor. You just need to know what you want, and things will work out better than you imagined.

Eagerness and dedication to provide financially.
I like to think that knight cards usually have the energy of teenage boys. Usually teenage boys have a lot of excitement and tenacity towards anything of interest to them.
In the case of the knight of pentacles, this card brings the elated energy of a teenage boy wanting to spend whatever money he has to impress his crush.

Solving your problems with money. Whether you need to spend money to make your issues go away or a sign that you’ll need to open up to the idea allowing yourself to be financially taken care of and spoiled by yourself or others.

King cards represent stability and head-of-household energy.
Stability around money. Being able to live, maintain, and provide a financially stable environment.
